Summary
We are seeking an innovative and experienced Fab Facility Engineer to support the design, installation and maintenance of the semiconductor fabrication facilities. This role is integral to the expansion and optimization of cleanroom environments and manufacturing infrastructure in the rapidly growing fiber optic communication industry, serving telecom, datacenter, and CATV sectors.
You will work cross-functionally with internal departments and external vendors to ensure all building structures, utilities, and facilities are designed and maintained for efficiency, sustainability, and high-tech manufacturing demands. This position offers strong growth potential into a leadership role within the facility team.
Job Duties
Design, and review electrical systems including wiring for lighting and power distribution.
Collaborate on load studies, fault current analysis, grounding design, and arc flash analysis.
Ensure the design supports fab tools, HVAC and cleanroom environment.
Participate in electrical design reviews and coordinates with the team of project engineer and civil engineer.
Support on-site installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical system.
Develop and oversee testing and commissioning protocols for facility electrical system.
Conduct inspections, FAT/SAT to verify compliance with specifications.
Ensure reliable system startup and seamless handover to operations and maintenance teams.
Ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
Work safely around low, medium, and high voltage electrical system.
Support risk assessment, safety audits, and incident prevention during project execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven working experience in electrical engineering, preferably in high-tech or cleanroom environments.
Proficient in AutoDesk or SolidWorks software for 3D designs.
Strong understanding of site layout, grading, utility systems, erosion control, and permitting processes.
Exceptional project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with cleanroom construction standards and facility controls is highly desirable.
License of professional engineer in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Location
This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
