Summary

As an MES Software Developer, you should have extensive technical knowledge and experience in the development, implementation, and Operation Support of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) system. You will design, develop, implement, and test MES solutions as well as support MES operations during production. Additionally, you will work with process engineers and the production line to resolve any MES-related issues.

Job Duties

• Understanding the project requirement and available resources:
  • Communicate with application engineers to understand the requirements of the projects and deliverables.
  • Understand back-end computing infrastructure used in manufacturing (compute hardware, virtualization, OS’s, networking, databases, etc.).
  • Develop/configure industrial control packages accordingly for use in manufacturing
• Software systems design and programming:
  • Work as an individual or in a team with other software engineers, process engineers, or other engineering disciplines, to design manufacturing software systems.
  • Managing multiple scopes of projects in various phases simultaneously.
• Data control system design and programming: designing control systems including databases and database interfaces, data analytics & reporting, and general programming.
• Launch software control programs, troubleshoot, and maintain the programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, software programming, or related field required
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, software programming, or related field preferred
• Minimum 1 year of software development experience
• Advanced programming skills with high-level programming languages (e.g. LabVIEW, MS Access, C#, Java, C++, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) Server and literacy in Microsoft development software and .NET environment
• Experience in implementing and/or integrating manufacturing automation solutions and interfacing SAP systems preferred
• Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and problem-solving skills
• Strong data analysis skills and be able to make decisions based on the effective summary for data
• Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to communicate effectively across all business levels and functions
