Quality Engineer - SPD

Summary

The quality engineer will be responsible for the development and execution of all quality perspective and its subsidiaries and operations in wafer and chip process, including but not limited to incoming quality control, inline quality control, final quality control, quality assurance, quality engineering and regulations. The successful candidate will be a quality-minded engineer, with a firm grasp on quality practice in semiconductors, failure analysis, and risk assessment.

Job Duties

  • Perform and report Production Line failure analysis to the Quality Manager.
  • Analyze Risk Analysis and Risk Assessments.
  • Set up inspection criteria and address sampling sizes.
  • Execute Quality Assurance Protocols such as Processing, Sourcing and Finalizing quality assurance and Incoming quality control.
  • Process special requests for stakeholders based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.)
  • Experience working in quality assurance and quality engineering is required.
  • Experience dealing with customers and suppliers in the manufacturing industry is required.
  • Knowledge of Lean, 6 Sigma, 5 Why’s, root cause analysis is required.
  • Experience in the optical/semiconductor quality management and manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Process /quality engineer experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control is required.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills are required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are required.
  • Knowledge of various quality system methodologies: 8D, Lean, 5 Why’s, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, and PFMEA, is required.
  • Knowledge of measurement system analysis is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Knowledge with JMP is preferred.
  • Project management experience is preferred.

Location

This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
